When the National Trust approached Geosynthetics with the proposal that they needed to construct a new car park to cope with increased visitor numbers at their Gibside property we were able to offer our Cellweb® Tree Root Protection as an effective and cost effective solution.

A system was needed to provide a free draining, shallow depth construction on poor soil and to give it the stability required to take vehicular traffic.

Cellweb® has the following benifits:

• Shallow Depth.
• Reduced costs over traditional construction methods.
• Surface finish more in keeping with the surroundings.

The car park has now opened and is taking up to 200 cars per day during the summer opening times.
