Structural drainage systems have to provide the discharge capacity required under the maximum compressive stress of the relevant project. More often than not, EnkaDrain can be installed as a more cost efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to gravel drainage layers. Its has been successfully applied in projects where the geocomposite is exposed to static and dynamic loads of 100 kPa and more.

The EnkaDrain range of multifunctional drainage mats for structural drainage includes a large number of product variants in widths up to two meters. They all consist of a durable drainage core with excellent compressive resistance, and this is thermally bonded or spot welded to nonwoven separator filters on one or both sides to provide an overlap between rolls, these nonwovens are 10cm wider than the core. The three dimensional high performance drainage core is made of polymeric monofilaments spun into a pyramid or V shape configuration. The resulting three dimensional structure is very open and ensures maximum drainage capacity.

EnkaMat erosion control matting can be used effectively in many situations. Whether erosion control is required above,at, or below the water level or on dry slopes, a suitable EnkaMat variant is available for any condition. EnkaMats three dimensional, flexible matrix conforms to any smooth soil surface: The turf reinforcement mat is installed on the prepared soil bed free of rocks, clumps, roots or other irregularities. Once secured in place, the erosion control blanket can be seeded, and soil or mulch filled. Its open structure provides space for the soil and stimulates root and plant growth. As the roots develop, they become entangled within the fused filaments, achoring vegeatation and creating a stable cover. Enkamat is also an ideal underlay for sod.

Single or multiple layers of EnkaGrid geogrids absorb forces originiating from road and rail traffic, both longitudinally and in a transverse direction. This inhibits deformation and the development of rutting in the surface. As such, both geogrids help significantly increase the service life of the finished structure while minimising required maintenance.

Enkagrid Max C geogrids exhibit optimal interaction with most granular oil types. It can be used in every natural aggregate as well as with recycled material. The interaction between the geogrid and the granular material minimises particle movement. This interlocking effect prevents lateral spreading of the base material ad delivers tensile stiffness to the subbase.EnkaGrid Max C combines the additional functions of separating and filtering the soil & other granular materials adding to the quality of construction.
