In March 1998 Geosynthetics Limited began trading. From a lowly beginning the company has become one of the largest independent geosynthetics suppliers in the UK employing over 40 people.

We took some time to speak with Chris Foxton our chairman and founder to capture his thoughts on the last 21 years and also his vision for the future…

“When I started Geosynthetics Limited back in 1998 the economic and political climate was very different from today. Fortunately we have managed to negotiate all of the trials and tribulations that have come our way and together with a fantastic team of people turned Geosynthetics Limited into a successful and dynamic company.

When asked what has led to our success, I will always say the team and a lot of hard work. The team around me and the way in which they have helped develop product lines, introduce new systems and constantly push myself and the Management team for that next big thing.

In recent years we have developed our Engineering and Technical capability.  This has really raised the bar in terms of the projects we now get involved in and the clients we work with. We are now a solution provider as well as a product provider.

In 2014 we decided to pit ourselves against others in the industry and obtain ISO 14001. Leaving this planet knowing we all made a positive contribution to the environment is integral to the business.

As a local businessman and having been to school in our local community it was extremely important for me to give back. It is a great achievement and an honour to be able to support local Schools and Universities through our Corporate Social Responsibility program.

I am looking forward to the next 21 years and the opportunities it holds.”
