Update on Georgie’s Gift and Adapt
In 2017 Geosynthetics Ltd chose Adapt and Georgie’s Gift as our two charities to raise money for throughout the year by participating in events such as the wolf run and our annual office fundraiser day. The wolf run raised £2000 and the fundraiser day raised a sum of £2,500 which our chairman, Chris Foxton, generously doubled to £5000. The overall total raised was £7000 which was split between the two amazing charities.
At the start of 2018 we received an update from both charities on the difference the money has made.
Adapt were undecided on whether they should continue to include incubator bears in their baby packs. These bears were given to mothers of premature babies to be kept in the incubator with the baby and for memory keepsake. The Adapt team unanimously agreed the bears should stay and our donation helped make this decision possible.
Adapt contacted us to say “We really do appreciate all the support from Geosynthetics, especially Owner Chris Foxton for kindly matching the amount raised and all your team and supporters who donated and gave up their time for us”
Georgie’s Gift informed us that our £3500 donation was put towards a life changing operation for a young boy, to provide a better quality of life for him and his family.
Georgie’s Gift said “The backing from a local business such as Geosynthetics Ltd is instrumental in the successful running of Georgie’s Gift. In addition, the activities carried out at Geosynthetics and their social media coverage has raised further awareness around the signs and symptoms of meningitis, which is one of the charities main objectives. Thank you from everyone at Georgie’s Gift.”
It brings everyone in the Geosynthetics Ltd team great pride to hear about the things our donation and hard work has achieved. We look forward to hearing further updates on the charities.
