Project Highlights
Simpsons Associates contacted Geosynthetics for assistance with a solution enabling a new car park to be built on an existing slope as part of an extension to the Premier Inn in Braintree.
Our own in house engineers produced a drawing of the proposed gabion wall in a short space of time as the contractor RG Cartor were already working on site.
The full solution, complete with cross sections was sent to Simpsons Associates to incorporate into their project files. Before construction began, Geosynthetics liaised directly with contractor. We visited the site to show the installation team personally how to assemble the gabion units using the helical fastenings to speed up the whole installation process. We addressed the contractor’s concerns about the finish between the gabions and the tarmac road surface.
